MDT is a French company of +340 employees, located in Trévoux in France. It is affiliated to Medtronic a world-leading Medtech Company, with headquarters in Dublin, Ireland.
MDT designs develops and manufactures implants based on biopolymers, resorbable polyesters and/or textiles for hemostats & soft tissue repair devices used for example in the surgical treatment of parietal disorders such as inguinal & incisional hernias. Under its own name, it filed over 125 international patent families and spent>10% of its sales in the development of new products.
The entire product development and manufacturing processes, from the initial processing of the raw materials to the finished products are completely vertically integrated under GMP conditions, in house, in Trevoux (France). Its facilities include >1200 m² of clean rooms with areas classified from class 100,000 to class 100, manufacturing textile facilities and a 6,000 m² R&D centre. The current product range includes meshes for soft tissue repair, anti-adhesive biological products and hemostats.
