In a collaborative effort, the CEA and the Nenu2PHAr project recently gathered on November 14th in Aix en Provence, hosting an event that brought together 50 participants eager to explore the latest advancements in bioplastics derived from microalgae.
The morning started with a Tech Time organized by the CEA, where discussions centered around microalgae, bioplastics, and recycling. Presentations from various speakers from the CEA Liten provided comprehensive insights into the current landscape and emerging trends in the field.
A significant highlight of the event was a keynote address by Philippe Lavoisier, the general manager at Eranova, a leading French company specializing in algae-based plastics. Lavoisier shared invaluable insights, offering a glimpse into Eranova‘s operations and addressing emerging trends and legal considerations in the field of microalgae.
To tease the afternoon session on the Nenu2PHAr projet, we premiered the second project video showcasing the project value chain with 8 exclusive partners interviews. For those eager to learn more, the video is set to release soon on Nenu2PHAr‘s social networks.
The afternoon carried on with presentations from key project partners such as CEA, UBS, IPC, and Lomartov. They highlighted significant advancements within the Nenu2PHAr project, specifically focusing on recyclability, biodegradability, and life cycle assessment.
In-between sessions allowed participants to engage in B2B meetings, encouraging valuable networking interactions. Additionally, a showroom displayed innovative products developed within the Nenu2PHAr project, providing a concrete glimpse into the progress made in sustainable material development.
Every participant was offered the chance to take home a cup featuring the Nenu2phar logo, crafted from microalgae and produced by Eranova.
