7th International Polysaccharide Conference

EPNOE 2021 is the 7th International Congress of the European Network of Excellence in Polysaccharides that will take place in Nantes from October 11 to 15, 2021. The conference will promote wide dissemination of research results and cross-fertilization of ideas in the field of polysaccharides.

NENU2PHAR’s coordinator, CEA (France’s Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission), will participate in the conference to disseminate its latest results through an oral presentation entitled “MicroaIgae as efficient polysaccharide producers: recent advances in biotechnological processes, from research to industry“. This paper is work of Sassi J.-F., Delrue F., Fleury G., Alvarez P., Charbonnier M., Compadre A., Dubreuil C.

The objective of this research, which used the microalgae Chlorella vulgaris as a source of starch for the conversion of bioplastics, is to test and optimize the bioprocess, thus decreasing the cost of starch production from algae.
