About
With the Climate objectives of the Paris Agreement, it has become clear how necessary it is to close the loop of the circular economy for the plastics industry. To this end, the European Bioeconomy sector is creating new sustainable value chains, supporting the development of greener & more cost-effective plastics. It is also crucial to address the many challenges relating to littering and the end-of-life options for plastic waste – particularly packaging waste.
NENU2PHAR will set-up an innovative European value chain of PHA-based bio-plastics products from a sustainable resource with sustainable end of life options.
PHA-based products with their respective end-of-life scenarios will be developed and benchmarked to their fossil-based counterparts.
